Creating Listings Across Platforms

List your items on Depop, eBay, and Vinted simultaneously

13 min read · Updated 2 March 2026

Creating a listing in Evriwhere means posting your item to Depop, eBay, and Vinted in a single flow — no switching between apps, no copying and pasting descriptions, no uploading the same photos three times. This guide covers every detail of the Create Listings screen, from selecting platforms to tapping the submit button.

Before You Start

What you'll need before listing

  • At least one connected selling platform (Depop, eBay, or Vinted) — connect them in Settings
  • An item already created in Evriwhere with photos, item name, category, and other details filled in
  • Depop Payments set up if listing on Depop
  • An eBay seller account registered if listing on eBay
  • A stable internet connection

Listings are created from an item's detail view. You must first add an item to Evriwhere with its photos, item name, description, category, brand, size, colours, condition, and price before you can list it on any platform. If you haven't added an item yet, tap the + floating action button on the Items tab to create one.

Opening the Create Listings Screen

The Create Listings screen is accessed from an individual item's detail view (called ItemView in the app). Here's how to get there:

  1. Open the Items tab at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap any item in your inventory to open its detail view.
  3. Scroll down to the listing section and tap Create Listing.

The Create Listings screen slides up as a full-screen cover, presenting you with all the options you need to post your item across your connected platforms.

Only connected platforms appear

The Create Listings screen only shows platforms you've already connected in Settings. If you don't see a platform you expected, go back and connect it first. See our guides on connecting Depop, connecting eBay, and connecting Vinted.

The Create Listings Screen in Detail

The screen is organised into several sections. Let's walk through each one.

Platform Selection

At the top of the screen, you'll see horizontal toggle pills for each of your connected platforms — Depop, eBay, and Vinted. Tap a pill to toggle it on or off.

  • Toggled on — The platform is included in this listing.
  • Toggled off — The platform is excluded from this listing.

By default, platforms are pre-selected only if the item is not already listed on that platform. If an item is already live on Depop, the Depop pill will be toggled off since there's no need to list it again.

Listing Title

Below the platform pills, you'll find the Listing Title field. This is the title that will be used for your listings across all selected platforms.

  • The title has an 80 character limit with a character counter that turns red when 10 or fewer characters remain.
  • If your title is shorter than 30 characters, a helpful tip appears: "Listings with detailed titles sell faster!" along with examples of a bad title vs. a good title.

The listing title is pre-filled from your item's name but can be edited before posting.

Description

Below the title, you'll find the Description section with a text editor.

You can either:

  • Type a description manually — Tap the text field and write your listing description from scratch. Describe the item's condition, measurements, material, styling suggestions, or any other details buyers would find useful.
  • Generate a description with AI — Tap the Generate button (a blue capsule pill with a sparkles icon). Evriwhere's AI will automatically write a listing description based on your item's photos, name, category, brand, condition, and other attributes.

AI-Generated Descriptions

When the Create Listings screen opens, the AI description is actually pre-fetched automatically in the background. By the time you scroll to the description section, it may already be ready.

The Generate button is hidden once the AI description has loaded. While generating, the description field shows an animated rainbow border to indicate progress.

The generated description appears in the text field, and you can edit it freely before posting. The description editor uses a special text view that highlights #hashtags in blue, making them easy to spot and edit.

If you've set up a custom AI prompt in Settings > General > AI Description, the AI will use your prompt to control the tone, style, and format of the generated description.

Depop hashtag limit

Depop limits listings to a maximum of 5 hashtags. If Depop is enabled and your description contains more than 5 hashtags, an orange warning appears showing the hashtag count. You'll need to reduce the number of hashtags to 5 or fewer before posting.

Package Size

Below the description, you'll see a Package Size selector with three options:

  • Small — Fits in a small envelope or bag
  • Medium — Fits in a standard shipping bag or small box (this is the default)
  • Large — Requires a medium to large box

Package size is shown for all listings (not just Vinted) and helps platforms calculate shipping costs. Select the option that best matches how you'd package the item.

Pricing

The pricing section lets you control how your item is priced on each platform.

  • "Same price on all platforms" toggle — This is on by default. When enabled, you enter a single price that applies to every selected platform.
  • When toggled off — Individual price input fields appear for each selected platform, each marked with the platform's icon. This lets you set different prices per platform to account for varying fee structures.

Account for platform fees

Depop charges around 10% in fees, eBay charges around 12-13%, and Vinted charges less for sellers but passes fees to the buyer. Toggle off "Same price on all platforms" and adjust your per-platform prices to ensure you're hitting your target profit margin on each marketplace.

Advanced Settings

Below the pricing section, there's a collapsible Advanced Settings section. Tap it to expand and reveal two options:

Post Listings At (Scheduling)

A DatePicker labelled "Post Listings At" lets you schedule your listings to post at a future date and time instead of immediately. The default is the current time (effectively "post now").

Scheduling requires a paid plan

Scheduling is available on the Reseller and Business plans only. On the free plan, this option appears greyed out with a message prompting you to upgrade. See our Scheduling Listings guide for full details.

Automatic Offers

A menu that lets you set automatic price reductions for interested buyers. Choose from:

  • No Offer (default)
  • 10% off
  • 15% off
  • 20% off

Like scheduling, automatic offers are disabled on the free plan and require a Reseller or Business subscription.

Posting Your Listing

Once you've configured everything, it's time to post.

1

Review your settings

Before tapping the submit button, review all your settings one final time. Check that the correct platforms are toggled on, your listing title is detailed, your description reads well, your prices are set correctly, and the package size is appropriate.

2

Tap the submit button

The button at the bottom of the screen changes dynamically based on your current state:

  • "Select a Platform" — No platforms are selected yet
  • "Enter a Title" — The listing title is empty
  • "Enter a Price" — No price has been entered
  • "Remove N Hashtag(s)" — Too many hashtags for Depop (more than 5)
  • "List on [Platform]" — When listing on a single platform
  • "Create N Listings" — When listing on multiple platforms (e.g., "Create 3 Listings")

The button is only tappable when all validation passes.

3

Wait for processing

After you tap the button, Evriwhere submits your item to each selected platform's API. A loading state appears on the button while the listing is being processed. The app's ListingPollManager polls for status updates in the background, so you can see real-time progress.

Each platform listing will show one of the following statuses:

  • Processing — The listing is being uploaded and created on the platform
  • Live — The listing was successfully posted and is now visible to buyers
  • Failed — Something went wrong (see Troubleshooting below)

Processing typically takes between 5 and 30 seconds per platform, depending on the number of photos and network speed.

4

Confirm your listings are live

Once all listings show the Live status, you're done. Your item is now listed on all your selected platforms. You can verify by opening Depop, eBay, or Vinted and checking your shop — the listing should appear in each one.

The item's detail view in Evriwhere will also update to show the listing status for each platform with visual indicators (green checkmarks for live listings).

Listing posted!

When all platforms show the "Live" status, your crosslisting is complete. Buyers on Depop, eBay, and Vinted can now find and purchase your item. When it sells on one platform, Evriwhere can automatically delist it from the others.

Closing the Screen

If you tap the X (close) button at the top of the Create Listings screen before posting, a "Discard Listing?" confirmation alert appears. This prevents you from accidentally losing your settings.

Platform Setup Requirements

If you haven't completed the required setup for a specific platform, Evriwhere will let you know before you can post.

Depop Payments Not Set Up

If you try to list on Depop but haven't set up Depop Payments, a Depop Payments Setup sheet will appear. This sheet explains what Depop Payments is (Depop's built-in payment processing system) and guides you through setting it up directly within Depop. You must complete this step before Evriwhere can post listings to your Depop shop.

See our Setting Up Depop Payments guide for detailed instructions.

eBay Seller Not Registered

If you try to list on eBay but haven't registered as an eBay seller, an eBay Seller Setup sheet will appear. This sheet explains how to register as a seller on eBay, including setting up a payment method for seller fees and configuring your shipping and returns defaults. You'll be guided through the process within the eBay website.

Troubleshooting

A listing failed on one platform but succeeded on others

This is the most common issue. When a listing fails on one platform, the other platforms are not affected — whatever succeeded stays live. For the failed platform, you'll see an error message explaining what went wrong.

Common causes for per-platform failures:

  • Network timeout — The connection to the platform's servers was interrupted. Tap Retry to attempt the listing again.
  • Invalid data — The platform rejected the listing due to a missing required field (e.g., package size for Vinted, valid category for eBay). Check the error message for specifics.
  • Platform outage — The selling platform itself may be experiencing downtime. Wait and try again later.
  • Account issue — Your session with the platform may have expired. Go to Settings and tap the platform to reconnect.

Each failed listing box shows a specific error message and typically offers a Retry button so you can attempt to post again without re-entering any information.

"Depop Payments not set up" error

This error appears as a sheet overlay when you attempt to include Depop in your listing. You need to complete the Depop Payments setup through Depop before you can list. Follow the on-screen instructions or see our Depop Payments setup guide.

"eBay seller account not registered" error

Similar to the Depop Payments issue, this means you need to register as a seller on eBay. The setup sheet that appears will guide you through the registration process on eBay's website.

Photos aren't uploading

If your listing is stuck on "Processing" for an extended period:

  1. Check your internet connection — Photo uploads require a stable connection, especially with multiple high-resolution images.
  2. Reduce photo count — If you have many photos, try reducing the number. Remember that Depop has a maximum of 9 images.
  3. Check photo file size — Extremely large photos may take longer to upload. Evriwhere compresses photos automatically, but very high-resolution images from professional cameras may still be slow.
  4. Force-close and retry — If the listing appears stuck, force-close Evriwhere and reopen it. Check the item's detail view to see if the listing went through. If not, try creating the listing again.

Network errors

If you see a general network error when posting:

  1. Check your Wi-Fi or cellular connection — Make sure you have a strong signal.
  2. Tap Retry — Most network errors are temporary. The retry button will attempt the listing again using the same settings.
  3. Wait and try again — If the error persists, wait a few minutes. Our servers or the platform's servers may be experiencing temporary issues.

Don't create duplicate listings

If a listing fails and you're unsure whether it went through, check the platform's app or website before retrying. Creating a duplicate listing can violate platform policies and confuse buyers. Evriwhere's status indicators will always reflect the most up-to-date state, so rely on those before retrying.

Tips for Better Listings

  • Use high-quality photos — Well-lit, clear photos from multiple angles sell items faster. Include close-ups of labels, tags, and any flaws.
  • Write detailed titles — Use specific keywords like brand, colour, size, and style. Listings with detailed titles (30+ characters) perform better in search results.
  • Write detailed descriptions — Even with AI-generated descriptions, add specific measurements, materials, and styling tips. Buyers appreciate thoroughness.
  • Price competitively — Research what similar items are selling for on each platform. Use per-platform pricing to stay competitive everywhere.
  • Choose the right category — Accurate categorisation helps buyers find your items through search and browse filters on each platform.
  • Fill in all attributes — Brand, size, colour, and condition all help with search visibility. Don't leave optional fields blank if you can help it.
