Managing Your Inventory

Search, filter, sort, and organise all your items in one place

The Items tab is your central inventory hub in Evriwhere — every item you've added, every listing you've posted, every draft you've started all lives here. Whether you have 10 items or 1,000, the Items tab gives you powerful tools to search, filter, sort, and manage your inventory efficiently. This guide covers everything the Items tab offers.

The Items Tab Layout

When you tap the Items tab at the bottom of the screen, you're taken to your full inventory view. The layout adapts to your device:

  • iPhone: Items are displayed in a vertical list view with each item showing its primary photo, name, price, and listing status indicators in a compact row.
  • iPad: Items are displayed in a split view — a 2-column grid sidebar on the left (about 65% of the screen) and a detail pane on the right (about 35%). Tapping an item in the grid shows its details in the right pane without leaving the inventory view.

At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the search bar. Above the item list, you'll find controls for sorting and filtering your items. There's also a floating + button (FAB — floating action button) for adding new items.

Item limits by plan

The number of items you can have in your inventory depends on your subscription plan. When you tap the + button to add a new item, Evriwhere checks your current item count against your plan's limit. If you've reached your limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade your plan or delete existing items before adding more.

Searching Your Inventory

The search bar at the bottom of the Items tab lets you quickly find specific items by name.

How to Search

  1. Tap the search bar at the bottom of the Items tab.
  2. Type your search query — this can be any keyword from an item's name (e.g., "Nike", "vintage", "dress", "blue jacket").
  3. Results update after a brief delay (300ms debounce), filtering your inventory to show only items matching your query.

The search is performed server-side via the Evriwhere API, which means it works reliably even with very large inventories. Results are paginated just like the normal inventory view, so you can scroll through large result sets smoothly.

Search Tips

  • Be specific — Searching for "Nike Air Max 90" will narrow results more effectively than just "Nike".
  • Search by brand — If you're looking for all items from a particular brand, type the brand name.
  • Partial matches work — You don't need to type the full name. "Vin" will match "Vintage" items.
  • Clear your search — Tap the X button in the search bar or delete all text to return to your full inventory view.

Sorting Your Items

The sort button lets you change the order in which your items are displayed. Tap the sort button near the top of the Items tab to open the sort options menu.

Available Sort Options

| Sort Option | What It Does | |---|---| | Created At | Sort by when items were added. This is the default sort order. | | Quantity | Sort by item quantity (useful for multi-quantity listings). | | Title | Sort alphabetically by item name. | | Size | Sort by item size. | | Price Paid | Sort by cost price (useful for identifying high-investment inventory). | | Brand | Sort alphabetically by brand name. | | Listed Duration | Sort by how long items have been listed. | | Scheduled Time | Sort by scheduled listing time (useful for viewing upcoming scheduled posts). |

Each sort option toggles between ascending and descending when tapped again. For example, tap "Created At" once for newest first, tap again for oldest first.

Finding stale listings

Use the Listed Duration sort to surface items that have been listed for a long time without selling. Items are colour-coded by how long they've been listed: blue for less than 5 days, orange for 5-14 days, and red for 14+ days. These colour indicators make it easy to spot listings that need attention — consider a price drop, better photos, or relisting.

Filtering Your Items

Filters let you narrow your inventory view to show only items matching certain criteria. Tap the filter button to open the filter options.

Available Filters

  • Status — Filter by listing status:
    • Listed — Items currently live on at least one platform
    • Unlisted — Items that haven't been posted to any platform yet
    • Scheduled — Items with a scheduled listing pending
  • Category — Filter by item category. The category list is populated dynamically from your inventory, so it only shows categories you actually have items in.

You can combine filters. For example, filtering by "Listed" status and a specific category shows only live listings in that category.

To clear all filters and return to your full inventory view, deselect all filter options.

Navigating Item Details

Tap any item in your inventory to open its detail view (ItemView). The detail view shows everything about that item:

Item Information

  • Photos — All photos associated with the item, displayed in a scrollable gallery
  • Item Name — The item's name as it appears in listings
  • Description — The full listing description
  • Category — The item's category
  • Brand — The brand name
  • Size — The item's size
  • Colours — Selected colour attributes
  • Condition — The item's condition (New with tags, New no tags, Like New, Good, Used, or Poor)
  • Price — The item's base price

Listing Status

Below the item information, you'll see the listing status for each platform. Each connected platform shows:

  • Whether the item is listed, unlisted, processing, scheduled, or failed on that platform
  • The platform-specific listing price (if different from the base price)
  • A link to view the live listing on the platform (if listed)

Actions Available from Item Detail

From the item detail view, you can:

  • Create Listing — Post the item to your connected platforms (see Creating Listings)
  • Edit the item's details — Update photos, name, description, price, and other attributes
  • Reprice — Update the listing price on one or all platforms
  • Relist — Remove and re-post the listing for a visibility boost
  • Delete — Remove the item from your Evriwhere inventory
  • View sale info — If the item has sold, see sale details including platform, payout amount, sold date, and status

Multi-Select Mode

Multi-select mode lets you perform actions on multiple items at once — a major time-saver when managing a large inventory.

Entering Multi-Select Mode

To enter multi-select mode, use the context menu: long-press (or right-click on iPad) on any item and select "Select" from the menu that appears. The view enters multi-select mode and that item is selected.

Selecting Items

Once in multi-select mode:

  • Tap items to select them — a checkmark appears on each selected item.
  • Tap a selected item again to deselect it.
  • You can select up to 10 items at once. This limit ensures bulk operations remain performant and helps prevent accidental mass actions.

A counter at the top of the screen shows how many items are currently selected (e.g., "3 selected").

Bulk Actions

With items selected, a toolbar appears with the available bulk actions:

Bulk Delete

Tap the Delete button to delete all selected items. A confirmation dialog will appear before anything is deleted.

Only available for unlisted items

Bulk delete is only available when none of the selected items have active listings on any platform. If any selected item has a live listing, you'll need to delete the listings first (using Bulk Delete Listings) before you can delete the items themselves.

Bulk Relist

Tap the Relist button to relist all selected items on their respective platforms. Relisting removes the existing listing and creates a new one, which can give your items a visibility boost on platforms that favour fresh listings.

  • Only items with existing live listings are relisted
  • Items that aren't currently listed are skipped
  • Each platform listing is re-created with the same details (photos, description, price)

Bulk Reprice (Update Price)

Tap the Reprice button to open the Bulk Reprice view for all selected items. This lets you apply percentage discounts or set custom prices across multiple items simultaneously. See our Bulk Repricing guide for full details on this feature.

Bulk Delete Listings

Tap the Delete Listings button to remove the active listings for all selected items across all platforms, without deleting the items themselves from your inventory. This is useful when you want to take items offline temporarily or before making significant changes.

Exiting Multi-Select Mode

To exit multi-select mode without performing any action:

  • Tap the Cancel or Done button at the top of the screen
  • Or deselect all items — the mode exits automatically when no items are selected

Pagination and Scrolling

Your inventory loads in pages as you scroll. This paginated approach ensures the app remains fast and responsive even if you have hundreds or thousands of items.

  • Initial load — When you open the Items tab, the first page of items loads immediately.
  • Infinite scroll — As you scroll down, the next page of items loads automatically. You'll see a brief loading indicator at the bottom of the list while the next batch is being fetched.
  • Server-side pagination — Items are fetched from the Evriwhere API in pages, meaning only the items you're currently viewing are loaded into memory.

If you have a slow connection, you may notice a brief delay when scrolling through large inventories. This is normal and items will appear as soon as they're loaded.

Pull to Refresh

To refresh your inventory and fetch the latest data from the server, pull down from the top of the Items tab. A loading spinner appears briefly, and your inventory updates with any changes — new items, updated listing statuses, price changes, and sales.

Pull to refresh is useful after:

  • Posting new listings (to confirm they're live)
  • Making changes on a selling platform directly
  • Receiving a sale notification (to see the updated status)

Adding New Items

The floating + button in the bottom-right corner of the Items tab is your entry point for adding new items to your inventory.

  1. Tap the + button.
  2. The app checks your subscription plan's item limit. If you've reached your limit, you'll see a prompt to upgrade or free up space by deleting items.
  3. If you're within your limit, the new item creation flow opens, where you can add photos, item name, category, and other details.

Troubleshooting

Items aren't loading

If the Items tab appears empty or items won't load:

  1. Check your internet connection — Items are fetched from the server and require connectivity.
  2. Pull to refresh — Pull down from the top of the screen to trigger a fresh load.
  3. Force-close and reopen — Close Evriwhere completely and reopen it.
  4. Check your account — Make sure you're signed in. Go to Settings and verify your account status.

Search returns no results

  • Double-check your spelling.
  • Try broader search terms — search only matches item names, not descriptions or other fields.
  • Clear the search and scroll manually to confirm the item exists in your inventory.

Multi-select won't activate

  • Make sure you're using the context menu — long-press (press and hold) an item and tap "Select" from the menu that appears.
  • Multi-select may not be available if your inventory is still loading. Wait for items to finish loading before attempting multi-select.

Items appear out of date

If listing statuses, prices, or other details seem stale:

  • Pull to refresh to fetch the latest data from the server.
  • Open the specific item's detail view — individual item views always fetch fresh data.
  • Check your internet connection — cached data may be displayed when offline.
