Connecting Your Depop Account
Link your Depop account to start crosslisting
10 min read · Updated 2 March 2026
Connecting your Depop account to Evriwhere lets you crosslist items to Depop alongside eBay and Vinted — all from a single listing flow. This guide walks you through the entire connection process, explains how Depop's login works within Evriwhere, and covers troubleshooting.
Before You Start
What you'll need
- An existing Depop account with a verified email address
- Your Depop sign-in method ready (email magic link, Apple, or Google)
- A stable internet connection
- The latest version of Evriwhere installed on your iPhone
If you don't have a Depop account yet, download the Depop app from the App Store and create one first. You'll need to verify your email address and complete your Depop profile before connecting it to Evriwhere.
Do I need Depop Payments set up?
Not to connect your account — but you will need Depop Payments set up before you can actually list items through Evriwhere. If you haven't done this yet, don't worry. Evriwhere will let you know when it's needed, and we have a separate guide on setting up Depop Payments to walk you through it.
When to Connect Your Depop Account
There are two opportunities to connect your Depop account:
During Onboarding (Recommended)
When you first set up Evriwhere, the onboarding flow includes a Connect Your Accounts step. You'll see cards for Depop, eBay, and Vinted. You need to connect at least one selling account before you can continue, so this is the easiest time to get Depop linked.
After Onboarding
If you skipped Depop during onboarding or want to add it later:
- Open Evriwhere
- Tap the Settings tab
- Tap Linked Accounts
- Tap the Depop row to begin
How Depop Sign-In Works
Depop uses a magic link system for email-based login — instead of entering a password, Depop sends a link to your email that signs you in when tapped. Because Evriwhere connects through an in-app browser, there's a specific process to follow so the magic link opens inside Evriwhere rather than in the Depop app.
Using Apple or Google sign-in?
If your Depop account is linked to Apple or Google, you can sign in directly in the browser sheet — no magic link steps needed. Just tap the Apple or Google button on the Depop login page and sign in as normal.
Connecting Step by Step (Magic Link)
Open the Connect Accounts screen
Navigate to the Connect Accounts screen either during onboarding or through Settings > Linked Accounts. You'll see cards for each platform showing their connection status. Depop will show "Tap to connect" or "Tap to Sign In" if not yet linked.
Tap the Depop card
Tap the Depop card to open a secure in-app browser sheet that loads the Depop login page. You'll see the standard Depop sign-in page along with an Instructions button at the top of the sheet.
Enter your email address
On the Depop login page, enter your email address and submit it. Depop will send a magic link to your inbox. Don't tap the magic link yet — if you do, it will open in the Depop app instead of inside Evriwhere's browser.
Copy the magic link
Go to your email inbox and find the magic link email from Depop. To prevent it from opening the Depop app:
- Turn on Airplane Mode on your iPhone
- Long press on the magic link in the email
- Tap Copy Link
- Turn off Airplane Mode
This copies the link to your clipboard without opening it.
Paste the link in Evriwhere
Return to Evriwhere. You'll see a Paste Link button at the top of the browser sheet. Tap it — Evriwhere will read the magic link from your clipboard and navigate to it within the in-app browser, completing the sign-in.
Confirm the connection
Once signed in, Evriwhere captures your session automatically. The browser sheet will close and the Depop card will update to show "Signed In As: [your username]" with a checkmark. If the username is still loading, the app will fetch it in the background — give it a few seconds.
Connection successful!
When you see your Depop username and the checkmark, your account is fully connected. You can now include Depop when creating crosslisted items in Evriwhere.
Connecting with Apple or Google
If your Depop account uses Apple or Google sign-in, the process is simpler:
Open the Depop sign-in sheet
Tap the Depop card on the Connect Accounts screen to open the in-app browser.
Tap Apple or Google
On the Depop login page, tap the Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google button. Complete the sign-in flow as you normally would.
Confirm the connection
Once authenticated, Evriwhere captures the session and the browser closes. The Depop card will update with your username and a checkmark.
How the Connection Works
What Evriwhere accesses
When you sign in to Depop through Evriwhere, the app captures an authentication session that allows it to act on your behalf. This gives Evriwhere the ability to:
- Create new listings on your Depop shop
- Edit existing listings you've crosslisted through Evriwhere
- Remove listings when an item sells on another platform
- Read your shop information to display your username and profile details
What Evriwhere does NOT access
- Your Depop password — you sign in directly on Depop's website
- Your payment or banking information
- Your private messages on Depop
- Your purchase history as a buyer
Session management
Evriwhere maintains your Depop session so you don't have to log in every time you open the app. However, Depop sessions do expire from time to time, which means you may occasionally need to reconnect. When this happens, Evriwhere will show you an alert — see the reconnecting section below.
Checking Your Connection Status
You can check whether your Depop account is connected at any time:
- Open Evriwhere
- Go to Settings > Linked Accounts
- Look at the Depop row
The card will show one of the following states:
| Status | What it means | |---|---| | "Tap to Sign In" | Not connected — tap to begin | | "Signed In As: [username]" with checkmark | Connected and working | | "Depop Connection Error" alert | Session expired — needs reconnecting |
Reconnecting After a Session Expires
Depop sessions don't last forever. When your session expires, you'll see a "Depop Connection Error" alert with the message "Your connection has expired. Sign in again to continue using it." You can tap Sign In to reconnect immediately, or Not Now to dismiss it and reconnect later.
Tap 'Sign In' on the alert
When the alert appears, tap Sign In to open the Depop login sheet directly. If you dismissed the alert, you can reconnect from Settings > Linked Accounts instead.
Sign in again
Follow the same sign-in process you used initially — either the magic link flow or Apple/Google sign-in.
Confirm reconnection
Once signed in, the Depop card will update to show your username and checkmark again. Your connection is restored.
Reducing reconnection frequency
Avoid changing your Depop password frequently, as this can invalidate your Evriwhere session. If you do change your password, you'll need to reconnect in Evriwhere.
Troubleshooting
The magic link opens the Depop app instead of Evriwhere
This is the most common issue. If tapping the magic link opens the Depop app:
- Use Airplane Mode — Turn on Airplane Mode before long-pressing the link, copy it, then turn Airplane Mode off and use the Paste Link button in Evriwhere
- Tap the Instructions button — At the top of the sign-in sheet, tap Instructions for a step-by-step reminder of the process
"The link you pasted doesn't look like a valid Depop magic link"
If you see this error after tapping Paste Link:
- Make sure you copied the full magic link URL from the email, not just the button text
- Go back to the email and long-press the link again to copy it
- Try again with the Paste Link button
Connection failed when trying to sign in
If the connection fails after entering your credentials:
- Check your internet connection — Make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection
- Verify your Depop account — Try logging into Depop directly in the Depop app to make sure your account is working
- Close and reopen Evriwhere — Force-close the app completely and try again
- Wait and retry — Temporary server issues usually resolve on their own
The login page won't load
If the Depop login page doesn't appear when you tap the card:
- Check your internet connection — The in-app browser needs an active connection
- Restart the app — Force-close Evriwhere and try again
- Update Evriwhere — Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store
- Restart your iPhone — A device restart can resolve issues with the in-app browser
Session keeps expiring frequently
If you find yourself reconnecting often:
- Don't change your Depop password unless necessary — a password change will require reconnecting
- Update Evriwhere — We release updates to handle changes in platform authentication
- Update the Depop app — Depop occasionally changes their authentication system
My listings aren't posting to Depop
If your account is connected but listings aren't going through, the most common cause is that Depop Payments hasn't been set up. Check our guide on Setting Up Depop Payments for instructions.
Other possible causes:
- Your Depop session has expired — check for a reconnection alert
- Your Depop account has been restricted or suspended
- The listing violates Depop's community guidelines
Depop account restrictions
If your Depop account has been restricted, suspended, or banned, Evriwhere won't be able to post listings on your behalf. You'll need to resolve the issue directly with Depop's support team.
Removing Your Depop Account
If you want to remove your Depop account from Evriwhere:
- Open Settings
- Tap the Depop row under your connected platforms
- Scroll down and tap Remove Account
- Confirm the removal
This removes Evriwhere's access to your Depop account and clears the stored session. Your existing listings on Depop will remain, but Evriwhere will no longer be able to create new listings or manage inventory on Depop.
What's Next?
Now that your Depop account is connected, you might want to:
- Connect your eBay account — Add eBay to your crosslisting platforms
- Connect your Vinted account — Add Vinted to crosslist across all three platforms
- Set up Depop Payments — Required before you can list items on Depop
- Create your first listing — Head to the home screen and tap + to list your first item
