App Settings & Appearance

Customise Evriwhere's look and notification preferences

10 min read · Updated 2 March 2026

The Settings tab in Evriwhere is your central hub for managing your account, connected platforms, app appearance, notifications, support, and subscription. This guide covers every section of the Settings screen and walks through each configurable option in detail.

Accessing Settings

Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the Evriwhere app. It's the gear icon on the far right of the bottom tab bar. The Settings screen is always accessible from any point in the app — just tap the tab.

Settings Screen Overview

The Settings screen is organised into four clearly labelled sections. Here's the full structure from top to bottom:

Section 1: Linked Accounts

The first section shows your connected selling platforms — Depop, eBay, and Vinted. Each platform row displays:

  • The platform logo on the left
  • The platform name
  • A sync status indicator showing whether the account is connected, syncing, or has an issue (or "Sign In" if not yet connected)
  • A right chevron to access platform-specific settings

Tap any platform row to view its dedicated settings screen, including profile information, activity log, stats, platform-specific settings, and account management options. If a platform isn't connected yet, tapping its row starts the connection process.

Platform-specific settings

Each platform has its own dedicated settings screen with a profile card, activity log, stats, and platform-specific options. See our dedicated guides for full details: Depop Settings, eBay Settings, and Vinted Settings & Auto-Relist.

Section 2: General

Below Linked Accounts, there's a single General row. Tapping it opens the General Settings screen (GeneralSettingsView), which contains three sub-sections:

  • Preferences — Appearance and AI Description settings
  • Notifications — Push notification toggles
  • Share — "Invite Your Friends" (referral programme)

Each of these is covered in detail below.

Section 3: Using Evriwhere

This section contains "Chat with Support" — a row that opens the live chat interface powered by the Crisp SDK, connecting you directly with the Evriwhere support team.

The chat row may display an unread message badge if the support team has sent you a message you haven't read yet.

Section 4: Your Account

This section contains two rows:

  • Your Plan — Shows your current subscription status. Tap to open the paywall/plan management screen. See our Managing Your Subscription guide for full details.
  • Sign Out — Logs you out of your Evriwhere account. Tapping it will ask you to confirm before signing out.

Signing out doesn't cancel your subscription

Signing out of Evriwhere doesn't cancel or pause your subscription. Your plan continues to renew through Apple until you explicitly cancel it in iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. See our subscription management guide for cancellation instructions.

Version Footer

At the very bottom of the Settings screen, the app version number is displayed. Tapping it opens the What's New screen, which shows recent changes and updates to the app.

Floating Chat Button

A green floating action button appears on the Settings screen (and throughout the app) for quick access to live chat support. It displays an unread message count badge when the support team has sent messages you haven't read.

Appearance Settings

The Appearance settings screen lets you control how Evriwhere looks on your device. To access it, go to Settings > General > Appearance.

At the top of the screen, you'll see the instruction text:

"Choose how Evriwhere appears on your device."

Below this, there are three options presented as a vertical list. Each option is a tappable row, and the currently selected option displays a blue checkmark on the right side.

System (Default)

The System option makes Evriwhere follow your device's current appearance setting. If your iPhone is set to dark mode, Evriwhere will use dark mode. If your iPhone is in light mode, Evriwhere will use light mode. If you have automatic appearance switching enabled (e.g. switching to dark mode at sunset), Evriwhere will follow that schedule automatically.

This is the default setting when you first install the app.

Light

The Light option forces Evriwhere to always use the light colour scheme, regardless of your device's system setting.

Dark

The Dark option forces Evriwhere to always use the dark colour scheme, regardless of your device's system setting.

Your choice is remembered

Your appearance preference is saved locally on your device, so it's remembered across app restarts and device reboots. You only need to set it once per device.

How to Change Your Appearance

1

Open Settings

Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the app.

2

Tap General, then Appearance

Tap General to open the General Settings screen, then tap Appearance under the Preferences section.

3

Select your preferred option

Tap System, Light, or Dark. A blue checkmark appears next to your selection, and the app's appearance updates immediately — you'll see the change happen in real time without needing to restart the app.

Notification Settings

The Notification settings screen lets you control exactly which push notifications Evriwhere sends to your device. To access it, go to Settings > General > Notifications.

The screen displays four individual notification types, each with its own toggle switch. When a toggle is on (green), you'll receive that type of notification. When off (grey), that notification type is silenced.

Sale Alerts (Default: Off)

Toggle: Sale Alerts

When enabled, Evriwhere sends you a push notification whenever you make a sale on any connected platform. This lets you know immediately when a buyer has purchased one of your items, so you can start preparing the shipment.

Item Likes (Default: On)

Toggle: Item Likes

When enabled, you'll receive notifications when someone likes or favourites one of your listed items on a connected platform. Likes can be a useful signal — they indicate buyer interest and can help you decide which items to promote, reprice, or relist.

Consider your notification volume

If you have a large inventory with many active listings, item like notifications can become frequent. If you find them overwhelming, you can turn this toggle off while keeping the more critical sale alerts and daily summaries enabled.

Daily Summaries (Default: Off)

Toggle: Daily Summaries

When enabled, Evriwhere sends you a summary notification every day at 10:00 PM (22:00) in your local time zone. This summary includes key metrics and activity from the day — a quick overview of your selling activity without checking the app.

Auto-Relists (Default: On)

Toggle: Auto-Relists

When enabled, you'll receive notifications whenever Evriwhere automatically relists one of your items on a platform. This confirms the relist was successful and tells you which item was relisted.

Configuring Notifications

iOS notification permission required

For any of these notifications to work, you must first grant Evriwhere permission to send notifications at the iOS level. If you previously denied permission, you'll need to enable it manually in iPhone Settings > Notifications > Evriwhere > Allow Notifications.

1

Open Settings

Tap the Settings tab at the bottom of the app.

2

Tap General, then Notifications

Tap General to open the General Settings screen, then tap Notifications.

3

Configure your toggles

Review each of the four notification types and toggle them on or off according to your preferences. Changes take effect immediately — there's no save button.

AI Description Settings

The AI Description settings let you customise the prompt that Evriwhere's AI uses when generating listing descriptions. To access it, go to Settings > General > AI Description.

On this screen, you can write a custom prompt (up to 512 characters) that controls the tone, style, format, and content of AI-generated descriptions. For example, you might write:

  • "Write casual, friendly descriptions with measurements and styling tips. Use British English."
  • "Keep descriptions short and punchy. Include 3 relevant hashtags."
  • "Professional tone, focus on condition and brand heritage. No emojis."

Whatever you write here will be used as the system prompt whenever you tap the Generate button on the Create Listings screen. This gives you consistent, on-brand descriptions across all your listings.

Tap Save to save your custom prompt.

The prompt applies to all AI descriptions

Your custom AI prompt is a global setting — it applies every time you use the AI description generator, regardless of which item or platform you're listing on. If you want different styles for different items, you'll need to edit the generated description manually or update the prompt before generating.

If you save an empty prompt, Evriwhere falls back to its default description generation behaviour — which produces well-rounded, general-purpose listing descriptions based on your item's attributes and photos.

Live Chat Support

The live chat feature in Evriwhere is powered by the Crisp customer messaging platform.

Accessing Live Chat

There are two ways to open the live chat:

  1. From Settings: Tap Settings, then tap Chat with Support in the "Using Evriwhere" section. The Crisp chat interface opens, showing your conversation history (if any) and a text field to type your message.

  2. Floating chat button: The green floating action button (FAB) that appears throughout the app provides quick access to the chat. Tap it to open the chat interface directly.

Unread Message Badge

When the Evriwhere support team sends you a message and you haven't read it yet, both the Chat with Support row in Settings and the floating chat button display an unread message badge. This badge disappears once you open the chat and view the messages.

What You Can Do in Live Chat

  • Send text messages to the support team
  • Share images and screenshots to illustrate issues
  • View previous conversations — your chat history is preserved between sessions
  • Get real-time responses when a support agent is available

Response times

Live chat responses depend on support team availability. During busy periods, you may not get an immediate response. If your issue is urgent, include as much detail as possible in your first message — screenshots, error messages, and the steps that led to the issue — so the team can help you efficiently when they respond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the app language?

Evriwhere follows your device's language setting. The app supports English, and the interface language is determined by your iPhone's language preference in iPhone Settings > General > Language & Region.

Do my settings sync across devices?

Your account data (connected platforms, items, listings) syncs through Evriwhere's servers. However, device-specific settings like appearance preference and notification toggles are stored locally on each device. If you use Evriwhere on multiple devices, you'll need to configure appearance and notification settings on each device separately.

I changed my appearance setting but nothing happened

The appearance change should be instant. If it doesn't take effect:

  1. Force-close the app and reopen it
  2. Check your iOS version — appearance settings require iOS 13 or later
  3. If you selected System, verify your device's appearance setting in iPhone Settings > Display & Brightness

I'm not receiving notifications

If you've enabled notification toggles in Evriwhere but aren't receiving notifications:

  1. Check iOS notification permissions — Go to iPhone Settings > Notifications > Evriwhere and ensure Allow Notifications is turned on
  2. Check Focus mode — If you're using iOS Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Work, Sleep, etc.), Evriwhere notifications may be silenced. Add Evriwhere to your Focus mode's allowed apps list.
  3. Check notification toggles — Return to Settings > General > Notifications in Evriwhere and verify the specific toggles are enabled
  4. Restart your device — Sometimes a restart resolves notification delivery issues
