eBay Account Settings
Configure dispatch time, returns, and shipping preferences
8 min read · Updated 2 March 2026
Once your eBay account is connected to Evriwhere, you can configure important listing defaults that apply to every item you crosslist to eBay — including dispatch time, returns policy, and free shipping. You can also view your eBay profile stats, activity log, and manage the account connection. This guide walks through every option available on the eBay settings screen.
Accessing eBay Settings
Open the Settings tab
Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.
Tap eBay
Under your connected platforms, tap the eBay row. If your eBay account is connected, you'll see your eBay username next to the entry. Tapping it opens the dedicated eBay settings screen.
Account must be connected
You need to have your eBay account connected to Evriwhere before you can access these settings. If you haven't connected yet, see Connecting Your eBay Account for instructions.
Profile Card
At the top of the eBay settings screen, you'll see your profile card showing:
- Profile picture — Your eBay profile photo
- Username — Your eBay username
- Last Synced — When Evriwhere last synced data with your eBay account
Tapping the profile card opens your eBay profile in the browser.
Profile Stats
Below the profile card, you'll find your Profile Stats — a detailed overview of your eBay account:
| Stat | Description | |---|---| | Rating | Your positive feedback percentage (e.g., 99.8%) | | Reviews | Your total feedback score | | eBay Site | Which eBay marketplace your account is registered on (e.g., ebay.co.uk, ebay.com) | | Account Status | "Good Standing" or "Needs Attention" — reflects your eBay account health |
Feedback Breakdown
Below the main stats, a Feedback Breakdown card shows your positive, neutral, and negative feedback counts individually with thumbs up/down indicators.
eBay Store
If Evriwhere detects that you have an eBay Store subscription, a "Store Owner" badge is shown below the feedback breakdown. Tapping it opens your eBay Store page in the browser.
Member Since
At the bottom of the stats section, you'll see "eBay User since [month year]" — the date you registered on eBay.
Monitor your account health
Keep an eye on your Account Status. If it shows "Needs Attention", check your eBay Seller Hub for any issues that may be affecting your selling privileges or search visibility.
Listing Settings
Below the stats section, you'll find the listing configuration settings. These defaults are applied to every eBay listing you create through Evriwhere. Changes are not saved automatically — when you modify any setting, a Save button appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap it to save your changes.
Don't forget to save
If you navigate away with unsaved changes, Evriwhere will prompt you with an "Unsaved Changes" warning. You can either discard the changes or go back and save them.
Dispatch Time
The Dispatch Time (Days) setting controls how many business days you commit to shipping an item after it sells on eBay. This value is included in your eBay listings and affects buyer expectations and your seller metrics.
Enter the number of days in the text field (e.g., 1, 2, 3). The default placeholder is 3 days.
Meet your dispatch commitments
Choose a dispatch time you can realistically meet. eBay tracks your dispatch performance as part of your seller metrics. Consistently missing your stated dispatch time can result in lower search visibility, seller level demotion, buyer complaints, and in severe cases, account restrictions.
It's better to set a slightly longer dispatch time and ship early than to set a short time and miss it.
What dispatch time to choose
- 1 business day — Best for sellers who can ship daily. Improves your chances with eBay's Best Match algorithm
- 2 business days — A good middle ground for most sellers
- 3+ business days — Use this if you can't ship frequently. Longer dispatch times may slightly reduce search competitiveness
Returns Accepted
The Returns Accepted toggle controls whether your eBay listings accept buyer-initiated returns.
- On — Your listings will state that returns are accepted
- Off — Your listings will state that returns are not accepted
Consider enabling returns
eBay's algorithm tends to favour listings that accept returns. Sellers who accept returns often see higher search rankings, more buyer confidence, and eligibility for Top Rated Seller status. In practice, return rates on pre-owned fashion are typically low, so the visibility benefit usually outweighs the risk.
Even with returns disabled, buyers can still open a return request under eBay's money-back guarantee if the item was not as described, arrived damaged, or the wrong item was sent. The returns toggle specifically controls voluntary buyer-initiated returns (e.g., changed their mind, doesn't fit).
Free Shipping
The Free Shipping toggle controls whether your eBay listings offer free shipping or whether the buyer pays for postage.
- On — Your listings will offer free shipping. Factor the shipping cost into your item price
- Off — Shipping will be charged to the buyer separately
Factor shipping into your price
If you enable free shipping, remember to include the shipping cost in your asking price. Buyers psychologically prefer free shipping even when the total cost is the same. eBay's algorithm also gives preference to listings with free shipping.
Activity Log
Below the settings section is the Activity Log, which provides a history of all actions Evriwhere has performed on your eBay account. Tap the View button to open the full log.
Each entry shows:
- Item title — The item the action relates to
- Action description — What happened and any relevant details (e.g., sale price, delisted platforms)
- Timestamp — When the action occurred
You can tap any log entry to jump straight to the related item in your inventory.
The log records the same types of events as the Depop activity log: sales found, relistings, delistings, delist failures, and quantity updates. It loads 20 entries at a time with a Load More button for additional pages.
Syncing Your eBay Account
Evriwhere syncs your eBay account data automatically in the background. To trigger a manual sync:
- On the eBay settings screen, tap the ⋯ (ellipsis) button in the top-right corner
- Tap Sync Now
This forces Evriwhere to pull the latest data from your eBay account. A manual sync is useful when you've made changes directly on eBay, a recent sale isn't appearing, or your stats seem outdated.
Removing Your eBay Account
If you need to disconnect your eBay account from Evriwhere:
Go to eBay settings
Navigate to Settings > eBay.
Open the ellipsis menu
Tap the ⋯ (ellipsis) button in the top-right corner of the screen.
Tap 'Remove Account'
In the menu, tap Remove Account.
Confirm the removal
A confirmation alert will ask: "Are you sure you want to remove this eBay account?" Tap Remove to confirm. Once confirmed:
- Evriwhere can no longer create or manage eBay listings on your behalf
- Your existing eBay listings remain live on eBay — they are not deleted
- Your eBay sales history in Evriwhere is preserved
- You can reconnect at any time by signing in again
Listings stay live
Disconnecting your eBay account from Evriwhere does not remove your live listings on eBay. Your eBay shop continues to operate normally — you simply won't be able to manage it through Evriwhere until you reconnect.
Troubleshooting
Settings aren't saving
If your changes don't seem to stick:
- Look for the Save button — Changes aren't saved automatically. Make sure you tap Save after making changes
- Check your internet connection — Settings need to sync with the server
- Wait for confirmation — The Save button will change to show a green checkmark with "Saved" when successful
Profile stats aren't loading
If your stats show an error:
- Check your connection — If the error says "Session expired", reconnect your eBay account
- Tap Sync Now — Open the ⋯ menu and tap Sync Now to refresh
- Close and reopen — Navigate away from the eBay settings screen and come back
eBay Store not detected
If you have an eBay Store but Evriwhere isn't showing it:
- Sync your account — Open the ⋯ menu and tap Sync Now
- Check your Store status — Make sure your Store subscription is active on eBay
- Reconnect — If syncing doesn't help, try removing and reconnecting your eBay account
