Creating Your Account

Sign up with Apple or email to get started

11 min read · Updated 2 March 2026

Creating your Evriwhere account is the gateway to crosslisting across Depop, eBay, and Vinted. The account creation step appears as step 4 of the onboarding flow — after you've seen the welcome screen, reviewed the feature list, and selected your selling platforms. This guide covers everything about the account creation screen in detail.

Overview

The account creation screen (titled "Create Your Account" with the subtitle "Sign up to save your listings and access them anywhere") gives you two ways to sign up:

  1. Sign In with Apple — A single tap that uses your Apple ID to create your account instantly. No password to remember.
  2. Continue with Email — Opens a secure web-based authentication screen where you enter an email address and password.

Both methods create the same type of Evriwhere account with the same features. The only difference is how you authenticate going forward. Choose whichever method is most convenient for you.

Recommended: Sign In with Apple

We recommend Sign In with Apple for the fastest and most secure setup. It takes a single tap, doesn't require you to create or remember a new password, and Apple's built-in security features protect your account. You can also choose to hide your real email address if you prefer privacy.

Option 1: Sign In with Apple

Sign In with Apple is the quickest way to create your Evriwhere account. It uses your Apple ID — the same account you use for iCloud, the App Store, and other Apple services — to authenticate you securely.

1

Tap the Sign In with Apple button

On the Create Account screen, you'll see a prominent black button labelled Sign In with Apple with the Apple logo. This button is styled according to Apple's official design guidelines — a black rounded rectangle with white text. Tap it to begin the Apple authentication flow.

2

Review the Apple ID prompt

iOS will display a system-level sheet at the bottom of your screen. This sheet shows your Apple ID name and email address, and gives you two options:

  • Share My Email — Your real email address will be shared with Evriwhere. We'll use this to send you important notifications about your account and sales.
  • Hide My Email — Apple generates a unique, random email address (like abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com) that forwards to your real email. Evriwhere will never see your actual email address.

Choose whichever option you prefer. Both work perfectly with Evriwhere.

3

Authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID

After selecting your email preference, you'll be prompted to authenticate:

  • Face ID devices: Glance at your device. The Face ID icon will appear on screen, and authentication typically takes less than a second.
  • Touch ID devices: Place your finger on the Home button or side button sensor.
  • Passcode fallback: If biometric authentication fails, you'll be prompted to enter your device passcode.

This step confirms that you — and only you — are authorising the account creation.

4

Wait for account creation

After successful authentication, Evriwhere receives a secure token from Apple and creates your account automatically. You'll see a brief loading indicator while this happens. The process typically takes 1–3 seconds.

5

Automatic advance to next step

Once your account is created, the app automatically advances to the next onboarding step — Connect Accounts — where you'll link your selling platforms. You don't need to tap anything; the transition happens automatically.

What Information Does Apple Share?

When you use Sign In with Apple, the following information is shared with Evriwhere:

  • Your name (first and last name associated with your Apple ID)
  • Your email address (either your real address or a private relay address, depending on your choice)
  • A unique user identifier — a random string that lets us recognise your account without needing your Apple ID credentials

We never receive your Apple ID password, and Apple does not share any other personal information from your Apple account.

Option 2: Continue with Email

If you prefer not to use Sign In with Apple, you can create your account with an email address and password instead.

1

Tap the Continue with Email button

Below the Sign In with Apple button, you'll see a secondary button labelled Continue with Email. Tap it to begin the email-based authentication flow.

2

Web authentication sheet opens

The app opens a secure in-app browser sheet (powered by Auth0, our authentication provider). This sheet slides up from the bottom of the screen and displays a login/signup form. The URL bar at the top confirms you're on a secure, verified page.

3

Choose Sign Up or Log In

The authentication screen has two tabs or options:

  • Sign Up — For new users who don't have an Evriwhere account yet.
  • Log In — For existing users who already have an account.

If this is your first time, select Sign Up.

4

Enter your email address

Type your email address into the Email field. Use an email address you check regularly, as we'll send important notifications about your sales, orders, and account security to this address. Double-check for typos before proceeding.

5

Create a password

Enter a strong password in the Password field. Your password should:

  • Be at least 8 characters long
  • Include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
  • Include at least one number
  • Include at least one special character (recommended but not always required)

Choose something memorable but secure. Consider using your device's built-in password manager (iCloud Keychain) to generate and store a strong password automatically — Safari will offer this when the password field is focused.

6

Tap the Sign Up button

After entering your email and password, tap the Sign Up (or Continue) button on the web form. The authentication service will create your account and redirect back to Evriwhere.

7

Verify your email (if required)

Depending on security settings, you may be asked to verify your email address. Check your inbox for a verification email from Evriwhere (or our authentication provider). Tap the verification link in the email to confirm your address. If you don't see it within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.

8

Return to the app

After the web authentication completes, the browser sheet will close automatically and you'll be returned to the Evriwhere app. Your account is now created, and the app will automatically advance to the next onboarding step — Connect Accounts.

Password storage

If your device offers to save the password to iCloud Keychain, we recommend accepting. This way, you can use Face ID or Touch ID to fill in your password the next time you log in, and it will sync across all your Apple devices.

Signing In on a New Device

If you've already created an Evriwhere account and are signing in on a new device (or after reinstalling the app), the process is the same:

  • Apple users: Tap Sign In with Apple and authenticate. The app will recognise your existing account and restore your data.
  • Email users: Tap Continue with Email, select Log In on the web form, and enter your existing credentials.

The app detects whether you're a new or returning user by checking for existing platform connections and listing data associated with your account. If you're a returning user, you may be taken directly to the main app screen instead of continuing through the rest of onboarding.

Troubleshooting

Sign In with Apple Errors

If Sign In with Apple fails, you may see one of several error states. Here's what each means and how to fix it:

"Sign In with Apple was cancelled"

This occurs when you dismiss the Apple ID prompt without completing authentication — for example, by tapping outside the sheet or swiping it down. This is not an error; simply tap Sign In with Apple again to retry.

"Sign In with Apple failed"

This is a general failure that can be caused by:

  1. Network issues — Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Apple's authentication servers need to be reachable.
  2. Apple ID issues — Ensure you're signed into your Apple ID in Settings > [Your Name] on your device.
  3. Server issues — Our authentication servers may be temporarily unavailable. Wait a few minutes and try again.

If this error persists, try these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > [Your Name] and make sure you're signed in to your Apple ID.
  2. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple and check that Evriwhere isn't listed as a revoked app.
  3. Restart your device and try again.
  4. As a fallback, use the Continue with Email option instead.

"Invalid response from Apple"

This rare error means the data returned by Apple's servers was unexpected or malformed. It's almost always a temporary issue. Wait a minute and try again. If it continues, restart your device.

Apple ID requirement

Sign In with Apple requires that you have an Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled. If you haven't set up two-factor authentication, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security and enable it before trying again.

Email Authentication Errors

The web authentication sheet won't open

  1. Make sure you have a working internet connection.
  2. Try force-closing Evriwhere (swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe the app away) and reopening it.
  3. Check if you have any content blockers or VPNs enabled that might interfere with the authentication page loading.

"Email already in use"

This means an account with that email address already exists. You should:

  1. Switch to the Log In tab and enter your existing credentials.
  2. If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login form to reset it.

Verification email not received

  1. Wait at least 5 minutes — email delivery can sometimes be delayed.
  2. Check your Spam, Junk, and Promotions folders.
  3. Make sure you entered the correct email address. If you made a typo, you'll need to start the sign-up process again with the correct address.
  4. Try adding no-reply@evriwhere.co.uk to your email contacts to prevent future emails from being filtered.
  5. If using a corporate or university email, your organisation's email filters may be blocking the message. Try using a personal email address (Gmail, iCloud, Outlook, etc.) instead.

The web sheet closed unexpectedly

If the authentication browser sheet closes before you complete the sign-up process, simply tap Continue with Email again. Your partially entered information may not be saved, so you'll need to re-enter your details.

General Account Creation Issues

"Something went wrong" error after authentication

This typically means the app successfully authenticated you but encountered an error creating your account on our servers. Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, contact support.

The app is stuck on the Create Account screen

If the app doesn't advance after you've authenticated:

  1. Wait 10–15 seconds — there may be a slight delay while your account is being set up.
  2. If nothing happens, force-close the app and reopen it. You may be taken past the Create Account screen if your account was actually created.
  3. Try the alternative sign-in method (Apple instead of email, or vice versa).

Account Security Best Practices

  • Enable two-factor authentication on your Apple ID — This protects both your Apple account and any apps you sign into with Apple.
  • Use a unique password — If you signed up with email, don't reuse a password from another service.
  • Keep your email address up to date — Make sure you have access to the email associated with your Evriwhere account for password resets and security notifications.
  • Use iCloud Keychain — Let your device manage your passwords securely so you never forget them.

What's Next?

With your account created, you're ready to continue setting up Evriwhere. The onboarding flow will automatically take you to the next step: connecting your selling platform accounts.
